Mackay Chiropractic Team

Kathryn- Chiropractic Assistant

Kathryn joined the Mackay Chiropractic team in September 2008 after moving to Mackay with her husband and two sons. She is enjoying learning about and living the Chiropractic Lifestyle through healthy eating, regular exercise at the gym and having regular adjustments. Her family use Chiropractic care as their main health provider as they all understand how the body knows how to heal itself when the nervous system is functioning optimally. She loves educating patients on the importance of making good lifestyle choices and maintaining their regular Chiropractic adjustment schedule so they can enjoy a life of wellness. In her spare time she loves to read, do Tai Chi, spend time in the garden, have regular massages with Jodie, meditate and spend time with her family.

Kim- Chiropractic Assistant

Kim joined the Mackay Chiropractic team in January 2010. She moved to Mackay from the USA to be with husband. She is having fun getting to know the Aussie culture and meeting new people. She developed a passion for Chiropractic after coming to Dr Jonathan in November 2008 with a large host of health issues including depression which started from a young age. After only 1 year of regular adjustments she has had life changing results. She is looking forward to educating patients on the benefits of Chiropractic care as she knows what it’s like to lose hope and regain it again for the first time in a decade. Kim says” I have found a new lease on life and I want to help our patients to finds theirs.” In her spare time she likes to walk on the beach, swim, goes to the gym and has a passion for nutrition.

Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Mackay parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
